The Bonmont Tennis Masters 2025 is a tournament played on grass, quite literally, masterful—all pun intended! Kai Zen Mag covered the build-up to this remarkable event in our Spring Issue, and we’re thrilled to report back on how it all unfolded.

Born out of a scarcity of high-quality grass courts in Europe, the Bonmont Tennis Masters was created to offer elite players the perfect venue to transition to grass following the grueling clay season and Roland-Garros. This is the genius behind the tournament: its impeccable timing. It appeals to top-tier players eager to get a head start on the grass-court season, and the build-up to the sport’s most prestigious title: Wimbledon.

Now in its second edition, this year’s Bonmont Masters featured an impressive line-up including Félix Auger-Aliassime, Jakub Mensik, Karen Khachanov, the recently retired Richard Gasquet, and a last-minute replacement for the injured Arthur Fils – Hubert Hurkacz. Karen Khachanov took the trophy.

The event is strictly by invitation, with all guests enjoying court-side seating. Over three thrilling days in a round-robin format, the six players competed in an atmosphere that brought fans astonishingly close to the action. Witnessing this level of talent up close reveals a new appreciation for the precision, speed, and elegance that define elite men’s tennis. Between matches, players mingled with guests, signed autographs, and posed for selfies – adding a warm, personal touch to an already unforgettable experience.

Set in the idyllic Bonmont Golf & Country Club, nestled between the Jura mountains and Lake Geneva in Chéserex, the tournament transforms a section of the golf course each year into a pristine, professional-grade grass court. Co-directed by SportSprit’s Yannick Fatterbert and Benjamin Dracos, and developed in collaboration with grass court expert Paul Reardon at the invitation of Bonmont’s Daniel-Sacha Fradkoff, the court uses the same grass seed as Wimbledon and features a state-of-the-art drainage system that brings a touch of SW19 magic to Swiss soil.

Luxury sponsors added their own flair to the event. Some of the stands included Zenith Automobiles, which offered Ferrari test drives, while refined Italian menswear brand KA/NOA showcased their elegant garments. Bucherer Fine Jewellery charm-ed guests with a playful game, La Flasque Cachée, hiding a diamond in one lucky guest’s flask.

These thoughtful, curated experiences elevated the weekend into something far more than just tennis. With vision, passion, and meticulous detail, Bonmont once again proved that grass-court tennis can be more than a game—it can be an unforgettable, exclusive lifestyle experience.
