Why The Four Seasons Hotel In Seoul? … Because You Are Worth It!

WRITTEN BY REMI JAMES

I have been fortunate enough to stay at a number of Four Seasons hotels around the world, so when I decided to take a trip to Seoul in South Korea, the Four Seasons was at the top of my list of where to stay. From the moment you approach the hotel, you are welcomed by the strikingly tall, sleek, beautifully designed modern building that seamlessly incorporates traditional Korean-inspired elements. This perfect blend of contemporary luxury and cultural heritage sets the tone for an exceptional stay.

Location, location, location! The Four Seasons, Seoul is perfectly situated close to some of Seoul’s most iconic landmarks, including the Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and City Hall. This prime location makes it easy to explore the rich history and vibrant culture. I stayed in the Palace View Junior Suite, which featured a heavenly king-size bed and breathtaking views of Gyeongbokgung Palace from every room. The suite also included a luxurious free-standing bathtub, a spacious living room, and a small drinks area. The pièce de resistance of this fabulous suite is the floor-to-ceiling windows, which provided an unobstructed view of the beautiful surroundings.

The facilities at the Four Seasons are second to none. The hotel boasts a stunning modern spa, an indoor pool, and a traditional Korean sauna. The spa features hot, warm, and cold baths, as well as wet and dry sauna rooms, catering to all your relaxation needs. The relaxation lounge has several relaxing spa beds, the perfect for a rejuvenating and power naps. And again, more spectacular views of the Palace from the sauna area. A word of caution: the Korean traditional sauna adheres to cultural practices, so swimwear is not allowed. Initially, I felt very embarrassed to sit alongside other women, wearing just my Birthday Suit, but once I got over my shyness, to my surprise I soon experienced a sense of freedom and healing, leaving the spa feeling reborn.

The hotel’s design is a masterpiece, incorporating natural light through their artistic windows while retaining many Korean traditions. This exquisite design made me forget that I was in the middle of bustling Seoul; instead, it felt like a tranquil resort. The attention to detail in blending modernity with tradition creates a serene and luxurious atmosphere, making your stay unforgettable.

Dining at the Four Seasons, Seoul is an experience in itself. The hotel offers an array of dining options to suit every palate. The Market Kitchen serves a variety of international dishes in a lively, market-style setting. For Italian cuisine, Boccalino offers a sophisti-cated dining experience with authentic flavours. Japanese food lovers will delight in the exquisite dishes at Akira Back, while those seeking a chic and intimate atmosphere can head to Charles H, the hotel’s speakeasy-style bar. Each restaurant provides a unique culinary journey, ensuring that your dining experience is as memorable as your stay.

In addition to its luxurious amenities and prime location, the Four Seasons Seoul offers impeccable service. The staff is attentive, friendly, and dedi-cated to making your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. From personalised check-in expe-riences to thoughtful in-room ameni-ties, every detail is designed to exceed your expectations.

Whether you are visiting Seoul for business or leisure, the Four Seasons Seoul is the epitome of luxury and comfort. Its blend of modern design, traditional Korean elements, and exceptional service makes it the perfect choice for discerning trave-llers.
